SarahBeth9394 has a completly correct point there! The harassment is not from christians, but God-less kids. Your points have little or no proving ground.

Now tell me what god-less kids would toss around such an empty threat as "gay people go to hell"?

I really don't care what church those people attend (or don't attend). The fact that they took time out of their days to make one child miserable enough to commit suicide is disgusting.

Being god-less means being also hell-less. They might not have been your brand of christian, but they got their ideas from somewhere.

This isn't about religion. This is about kids ganging up on another who is different, and hounding him mercilessly. THAT is what I want to stop. I don't care where you pray or don't pray. If you don't like someone, fine -- don't be his friend, avoid him, leave him alone. We are all people -- no more, no less, no matter what the difference.

To try to blame that comment ,came from a church going person is crazy. I know many people who don't beleive in God , but still tell people to go to hell......doesn't always come from church ....can't blame it on any religion.

Yes those people that post some of that crap are heartless. Think telling him that gays go to hell ,was wrong !! Myself don't think that comment made him take his life.

Sorry but that boy should have not been posting on the internet, he was thinking suicide and posting about it ,where was his parents. trouble with the internet, yes some DUMB A** is going to post go ahead and do it. Wish we could keep all the haters off , but thats not going to happen any way soon. If a kid is think about taking their life, last place i would want then is the internet.


This boy need help ,for sometime.......maybe the bulling put him over the top.

Deerman, with all due respect, this took place here where I live. I am familiar with people in his town, and his school district (Williamsville, in Buffalo, NY). This is not a "godless" area by any means, and there is a lot of backward thinking (independent of each other or not). Telling someone to go to hell is different from saying to someone that he will go there because of who he is, and the latter is not a thought that pops in someone's head out of thin air.

This was a kid who was picked on for being different, and despite trying to make things work, he still fell off the deep end. True, not all kids who are bullied will follow his path, but that is not justification to continue tolerating bullying. There is no benefit to bullying. It's not like a kid getting upset because he has to clean his room, or do his homework. Stories like his are about being doggedly harassed from multiple directions simply for being different. We should be striving to give our kids the best possible chances at success, and bullying isn't a part of that equation.

I agree 100% bulling needs stopped. I also thinks this boys life could have been saved, is he had got help.

We all know in the real world , if someone gets on the internet posting , someone out there will make negative comments.

My point if kids are having though of suicide, should be treated not let put out there to try to deal with the haters.

I'm on meds for anxiety and depression and been talking to a counselor...I still haven't seen a difference. Just my two cents
