The Cat Chat Thread

I'm definitely more a dog person. But if ever there was a cat breed that could be described as "dog trapped inside the body of a cat" it's the Abyssinian.
I adopted Mogwai from a breeder after she had her spayed after an emergency C-section turned up a deformed kitten stuck in the birth canal.
Mogwai fears nothing. She has ruled up to three Dobermans at a time. She greets strangers enthusiastically. She is a whopping 6.5 pounds and is now 17.5 years old. I feed her a raw based diet and supplement with grain free canned.

Wow, Tonya, she's crazy feral looking! What a neat looking kitty.

ETA I used to have Bengal and she was absolutely beautiful and feral looking. She was nuts, though

Crumpet my BO & a feral I call Cousteau. At the time Crumpet was an only chicken. In June I got 2 EE and now Cousteau freaks the chickens out when he comes around. He's never gone after them. But there was a time of sharing:

I know there are probably lots of cat lovers out there so I decided to make a thread where you can post pictures share stories etc.
SO let the fun begin! :celebrate

We have always had 'rescue' cats...kitties that showed up needing care and/or home. They have all been inside cats and most have lived to 15-18 years of age. The two we have now are the only ones we ever got from a breeder...i really believe in rescues, and cats who come from a bad situation know what's out there and (in my experience) are very grateful for being taken in. The two now, (because I wanted another Siamese and my partner got sucked in by a kitten who put its little paw on her nose) have no idea of the real world and my boy is SO sensitive that while his name is Mochi, we call him Emo-chi. But he's amazingly loving. He and his sister, Blossom, the little female who tried to starve herself to death as she rejected first one pricey, healthy cat food after another, are both 16. I adore my boy.

Measers are great cats. I had Lilac Point as a kid. I babysat just long enough to buy a kitty cat.
