We went to Atwoods (a local feed store). I immediately went to the chick bins and this is what I saw/said:
Oh! Awwwww, Guinea keets!
ISA Browns… (more mixes that I can’t remember right now)
Rhode Islan- whoop, no chicks in this bin!
Oh look EASTER EGGERS!! Awwwwww! Wook at da widdle muffs! I could sit here and watch them all day

Ah, here’s the RIR’s! Adorable lil things
Whoah, these guys are tiny! And look at the feathered feet! Wait- wait they’re BANTY COCHINS!!! Aaaaaaa I want them sooooooo bad! I HATE that fact that we can’t have bantams Oh look that one’s almost all the way inside the feeder!
Hmmm, more mixes…
Ooh! Welsummers! Interesting.
Oh look more EE’s!! Oh wow these are nice!


We almost bought some chicks today (probably against our better judgement) because they were so cute!!

Dad’s still stuck on orps. He really doesn’t know as much about chickens as he thinks he does.

Yeah, but there was really nothing I wanted/could actually get. I wouldn’t ever swap out Cream Legbars and Speckled Sussex for some boring mix thing.

No, I mean most of them were. I wasn’t getting guineas, and literally the only purebred chickens they had were the banty Cochins (), RIR’s and Welsummers (which I wasn’t really interested in).

It labled them as stuff like ISA Browns and such. I don’t remember their names but I would’ve known if they were purebreds.
I don’t like or want hatchery mutts

Yeah I love eggers! I meant the stupid new stuff that the hatcheries are coming up with out of the blue. Some of them don’t even have names
