Yes.have you got a duck coop that they go into at night?
BUT-
1. It doesn’t have a door. Gonna fix that tomorrow.
2. They don’t sleep in there anyway. This problem will also be solved tomorrow.

On an island in the center of our pond.such as: next to a barn, in a pond, etc
I've seen a post or two on this forum that say they don't really work.and ive heard that if you get one of those red blinky light things that it keeps away nocturnal predators
but ive never used one before so i dont know if they work or not
Glad you're quickly fixing what you can. The predator is going to keep coming back until there are no more. Where do they sleep? Is the pond too big to fence in?Yes.

Even if it were fenced in, coyotes can jump over, and dig under fences so I don't know how helpful that would be if it's hungry with a nice duck dinner on the other sideI've seen a post or two on this forum that say they don't really work.

I was thinking something like electric netting. It might not completely eliminate the problem, but I think it would deter many of the predators and maybe give the birds time to run and hide. My fences are not predator proof at all (chicken wire), but I have had no losses to predators in almost three years while my chickens have been contained. We have and regularly see foxes, coyotes, bobcats, raccoons, feral cats, mink, skunks, opossums...any chicken predator you can think of that lives in this area!Even if it were fenced in, coyotes can jump over, and dig under fences so I don't know how helpful that would be if it's hungry with a nice duck dinner on the other side
I gave the chickens an apple on a string a few minutes ago. It’s so funny, Punkin and Henny (Penny was scared of it) would take a couple pecks from it, and then they ran away when it started swinging! It was sooo hilarious.
I’ll try to get a video.
