the Cream gene is recessive, it will only show its cream color only on homzygous form..ThanksDoes it come in hetrozygous and homozygous form? Like it does in equines? Very new to chicken colour genetics

well once we isolate Dilute we can call it the "Lemon" gene.... like Black Breasted Lemon, or Blue Breasted Lemon, or just Lemon...yep it seems to be one of those trade names folks have decided to tag on to the variety.

you will get gold spangled Phoenix like birds.....cream is recessive.. so you wont be getting any cream on this first cross, select the best birds and mate them togetherI am going to try something similar and cross my Citron Spangled Hamburg to my Bantam Phoenix. I have no idea what will happen, but very curious about the Cream, as I decided several months ago to work on getting it into my d'Uccles.
