Cat's Critters: What a pretty chicken! I'm sorry she is gone. My white/peachy one like that is definately one of my favorites! It is just so different looking, and that makes it special to me. Great demeanor, too.

My EEs are really fluffing out and I can see their puffy cheeks much better now. Super cute breed.

My EE, Zucchini, laid her first green egg on 12/20/10, as some of you know. Well she took a large break from laying, for about two weeks. Well she started laying again yesterday, and that was her third or fourth weird-shaped egg. So I think that I'll be raising her protein intake. Today she laid a normal egg, but still small.

Soooo... Im ordering some bantam chicks from Ideal, and i needed something to finish off the order so i decided to get some Bantam EEs!!!!!!! SOOOO Excited!!!

My girls had a slow time getting it together but I sure notice and improvement since they started over one month ago. They get lots of treats from the kitchen. Yesterday they had a large amount of protein scraps and today all the eggs were huge and a wonderful colors. Dietary intake certainly makes a difference but I have noticed that it takes a good time for many birds to stabilize their eggs production. My Welsummer girls took a few days off and today layed the biggest brownest eggs so far. WOW
