Mouse over does not work on my tablet of course. Having mouse over links makes the site not mobile friendly
Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen.
Note: This feature may not be available in some browsers.
Thanks for all you have done so far, I love the changes! As for a suggestion, this is one of my wishes:
BYC Wishlist - View all pictures in thread
I really would really like a feature that allows us to view all the pictures in a thread.
And return to notification of who started the thread. Sometimes threads take off on multiple tangents. 3 pages later, unless one scrolls back to the beginning, there's no way to know who "owns" the thread.
Yes!Why not make the links obvious? Shouldn't be hard to do and there's no need to make people randomly click all over trying to see if something is a link or not. There's all levels of Internet-savy members here, let's make it easy/clear for everyone.
Yes!
I did post that using mouse over for links makes the site not mobile friendly too. Sites should be mobile friendly because a very large percentage only use phones and tablets on BYC. Mouse over is not the best way but a lot of graphics designers do not like the different color look or underlines. I look at it as more important to make the site usable though
I've always applied italics and underline when posting a link.I look at it as more important to make the site usable though
Did you know that there is a link at the top to show all threads? See where is says "there may be more to view"? That's a link to all watched threads.
@KikisGirls I tested insert bookmarks on my 9.3 inch android tablet and the insert bookmarks button is on it when I view in both portrait and landscape. When I get to work on Monday I will test bookmarks on the 13 inch macbook pro I have there.
Do you have and old version of Safari? Safari updates within versions for each OS. You do not get a version update until you update to a new OS Until Safari reached version 11. If the OS on you Mac is 10.10(Yosemite) or lower, you will not have the newest version of Safari. With each version comes functionality.
Macs have a similar problem with Firefox. You cannot get the newest version of firefox unless you have the newer OS. Chrome might do the same thing.
I have updated 6 year old macs to Sierra(10.12) with no problem. See if you have the most current safari which is version 11. If not, then update the OS. The update is free from the app store. If you have done all this and have at least El Capitan (10.11) as your OS, then try BYC on Chrome(install chrome on the Mac)
