The Evolution of Atlas: A Breeding (and Chat) Thread

Apparently the flu is going around already? A few people I know are sick. Take care Cynthia.

Thanks, my friend, but I think it's just sinuses and them draining into my throat. I don't feel sick, per se, but have this dry cough that happens at the worst time. Then, the sneezing like there's pollen or something blowing around in the air. I don't have contact with enough people to really catch much of anything. It's so hot and humid today, then by Monday, the highs will drop by 10*, a welcome relief for sure. I just closed up the house and started the little window A/C, cheaper than running my 24 yr old heatpump air.

I can't take this heat anymore either. My central air has been working overtime this year. I'm so over summer, heat and humidity. Next week they are talking 50-60's here. I have pulled out some pants from storage, as well as my beautiful poncho. :) I'm eager to be comfortable again. I'm a cool weather girl.

Yup. The winds are increasing outside, but it's still very hot. Can't wait for the temperature drop. I think that Monday's high is in the upper 70's. Then, in a week or so I see night temps dropping into the high 40's.

Grrr! Allergies!

When we lived in Sinus Valley (the Miami Valley of Dayton, Ohio), I was tested for allergies because of chronic sinusitis and they said, nope, no allergies, but I beg to differ! Something is in the air that is bugging the heck out of me. Maybe it's all that flatlander tropical air blowing up from the Atlantic into our area that I'm allergic to, LOL.

I've said it before - that is one amazing "shed"!! Where I come from, that is a sizable barn. :)
Also, one amazing husband!! :thumbsup
Thank you. I agree to both. Having a 40 by 40 pole barn to do as I please in has been a blessing. My husband has been more of a blessing. Of course we bicker like any married couple, but he he will do anything for me and I will do anything for him. He likes building pens. I like filling them. We are a good team. :)

I second that shed remark! DH was saying he'd like to add a lean-to to our 24x30 steel barn so we could leave windows wide open even in a storm and the chickens could be outside even if it was raining buckets. I won't argue!

I finished my Autumn Roosters throw. I think it's already spoken for, but I plan to make a table runner and maybe a couple of tote bags if I can figure out how to get them right as well as large enough.
