I just got my tracking number too!!!!

I called My Pet Chicken because I figured they'd shipped by now and I hadn't gotten an email yet.  Sure enough, glad I called.  I now have a tracking number even before I get my shipping confirmation email. :]

Yay!! I'm telling you this USPS tracking app will be the death of me hehe. Do you have any idea when yours will arrive? Tomorrow??

I'm starting to second guess all the decisions I've made now (feed, supplements, etc) but Ive gotta have faith it's all going to work out!

I've got the Deliveries app and you can bet I'm checking it every five minutes!! Haha
It's been accepted in Ohio so I expect it will be a quick drive or flight to Charlotte and then a USPS truck to Sanford post office by morning sometime.
I do have a pretty good feeling I'll wake up and get a phone call to come get my noisy chicks.
I'm so excited! I have a DELAWARE in this order! They are so awesome. My other Delawares died earlier this year (all young chicks) due to what I think was rickets of all things (vitamin supplement was stored in a humid place and went bad)

I wouldn't worry about anything, though! Up until the rickets experience, I've never had any trouble with behbies! Just make sure everything is clean, fresh, dry and warm and if anyone acts lethargic hand feed them honey water with electrolytes until they are back on their feet.

How exciting about the Delawares! I'm sorry about the rickets... That is sad but a learning experience indeed, and thank you for sharing. I am so grateful for this forum and am sure I will have tons of questions but that all will go well.

My tracking last says processed through Cleveland! It also says Express mail, which I think is supposed to be overnight?! Yikes! Can't believe we could have fuzzy peepers in less than 12 hours. We are outside Roanoke, VA so i think it could happen

We live and we learn. I had wayyy overanalyzed the symptoms trying to figure out what was wrong with my chicks. Amazing that it could be something as simple as a vitamin D deficiency!
This time I'm storing things properly so they don't go bad.

My tracking says Mansfield, OH! I would think if you can get your package tomorrow then I can too. It's not too far of a drive to get to Roanoke. Just a couple of hours.
Though it should be noted that my tracking says it will be delivered by Wednesday. Let's hope that's wrong!

Hey there, I am hoping someone has some advice for me. So I had chicks in the incubator due to hatch Sat. 21st. I had 10 in a Brinsea and 4 in an LG. Long story short, 7 in the Brinsea hatched no prob. One in the LG hatched 12 hrs early no prob. Then in the LG one pipped but stayed there with a big hole in one side for 24 hrs. It was very loud and rocking like crazy. With all the LG stuff I have read I was afraid it had gotten too dry so I decided to help. Sure enough where it was open it was hard and like glue. I got it real wet and got it pretty loose then zipped the rest of the way. The chick kicked his legs out immediately. So he had lots of dried membrane stuck on his feathers and neck, so I tried to free him up as much as possible then left him alone. So last night checking him out, he has 2 broken toes and spraddle leg. I band aided his legs and foot. So my firat question is could this have bee caused by trying to get out of the egg and getting glued in there? Or is that why he took too long and got glued i there? Secondly, his fluff is not fluff in a lot of areas, still hard and crusty. Should I just leave him alone until his legs are good or is it important to wash him and get him all fluffed up.His wings are free so he can balance. Thanks!

I might wash him but I might not with all his problems. Most people would tell you not to wash him but I've washed chicks on occasion without a problem. The leg and toe issues are from being shrink wrapped. Good luck.

Looks like we will get our babies today! Tracking finally updated and they left our local sort facility (about 30 min away) an hour ago!

Gah so I called our local PO and they said they got their shipment from the hub already... Really hope the girls will make a special trip since they're express or else we will be tracking them down tonight ugh should've just arranged to pick them up at the hub :/

Just updated to say it was processed through Greensboro!!!!
Maybe I will have babies after lunch?
