The final, fluffed up results of my hatch. :)

Ok my daughter told me some Japanese names.

Natsu-Ko = summer child

Mirai = future

Tori = chicken or bird

Tori Nikku = chicken meat (thats how you order chicken in a resteraunt)

Kawaii = cute

Kowaii = scarey ( she was feeling bad for your EE here)

Just some suggestions

Ok here he is:
It's hard to tell but when he was little he never "quite" got fluffy and looked like he had been through a bout of chemo. People would come in my classroom to see the chicks and say "Awww they're so cute - well except that white one - whats wrong with him?"

4 days old:

Couple of weeks old - still missing feathers:

Now (8.5 weeks old and just had a good dust bath)

He actually is a total and complete spaz and thats what I adore about him (or her- still not sure)

I think he is a cross between a polish and a calico cat...

I.....I......I...ummmmm....he's....sweet!!!!

Funny thing is, I have some that kinda look that way (with the wth is that spots) from my mutt hatch. I'll have to get a pic. I have often though they were kinda.....different looking.

But I love them!!! LOL

Yeah that one feather on his tail is red and black split right down the middle. I always have this urge to pluck it. The thing is he is very soft compared to the other chicken (if you can catch him) They are hatch mates.

The dark spot on his shoulder is just a clump of dirt.

You say Tori just like you would in english but with a bit of a roll? to the "r' (not really a roll but I can't explain it)
Nikku is NEE - coo

Sorry, I gotta ask, still nothing?

Yeah, I am gonna convince him that "chicken meat" is perfect for that bratty little hellion....who would NEVER end up in a stew pot, but it can't hurt to threaten the little brat!!!! Her feet are so tiny but she stomps them!!! Just like she is trying her best to look really big!!! She is just super cute!!!

Alright, here is one of my more unusual looking babies!

Father Golden Campine, mother White Leghorn.

She just has one little spot of dirt at the bottom of her wing in the second pic, the rest is her color.

Nope nothing
Set the eggs on 6/7/08 at aprroximately 6pm central. Temp was very stable the whole time except for the night the bator got unplugged for about 7 hours. But there were still 7 alive for 100% sure after that.

Air cells looked good on those 7.

Humidity has been stable except the first 2 days where it got up to 65-70%

Humidity is still really good now -67 %

It is really hard not to pull one out and candle it.
