The Heritage Rhode Island Red Site

After reading some of the last posts I had to go back through and look at some of my pictures and came across this one that I took last month. I am in no way a photographer nor do I have the best of camera's but I just really like this picture of these two birds. These are my older Gary Underwood birds that I hatched from eggs last November. I absolutely love the temperament of this cock bird. What do you folks think of this pair. I know the pullet is behind the cockerel but you can still see color and breast. lol They were 7 months old on this picture.
This picture should be your avatar. I really like the vertical line from chin to chest on these two birds, their level wing set, and tail on the cockerel. Classic pose of two really good looking birds. Ron

Hey all you awesome folks. This fall when its cooler to ship birds I would love to buy from some heritage RIRs . I would like show quality also. My oldest son is doing an SAE for FFA. He is doing them on our chickens now. He has won alot of competitions in forestry last your as a 9 th grader. Has nothing to do with chickens, but he is serious about FFA. He is going to be an officer this year in 10th. If he continues with the SAE, he will get to go to nationals in 12th. He wants to show some also. I would like a trio or 3 pullets and a rooster. Post message me and we will make the plans.Thanks-Michael:)

Thanks so much Ron. As you can see, I took your advise, lol. I was thinking of using this for my Avatar but the other picture seemed to show the length and how flat his back is. It's amazing how many different traits I see in these different lines.

You being in Ga you shouldn't have any problem getting some good stock most likely within driving distance and not worry about having to wait for the temps to cool down to ship them(save $$$ too) if you are up for a road trip and there are birds in Ga worthy of such. scribble,JamesA, William Bennet, over the line in Al. is Matt1616 in SC there are quite a few too. PM Robert Blosl on here for breeders and addresses email contacts.

Thank you so much Jeff. As usual I love reading your comments. I'm only thankful that God spread out His humorous people. My friends/neighbors couldn't handle two of us in one place. ha,ha,ha. Anyway, it's always good hearing from you.

I am guessing I have about 10 cockerels and 10 pullets. I got them when they were a day old from Gary.
They are just now 9 weeks old.
