The chicks are going to be in limbo for a bit. Since my new coop isn't completely finished, they are in the brooder area of the new coop during the day, but it's not safe at night since there isn't a people door on the coop yet. So I'm moving them to a dog crate at night and putting the dog crate in a secure building. Once the door is finished, then they can stay in the new coop all the time. So for now, they don't have anything to roost on.

And all at the same time, I'm trying to hide them from the husband!

He said no more chickens until the coop is finished. But in my defense, when I agreed to take them, I was planning on having it done by the time they arrived. But the rain had other plans.

Winston and Clementine are still in a molt, but are looking better every day. Poor Winston - I don't think he is ever going to get his tail back. He still looks pretty raggedy, but here are a few pictures of The Churchills.

Fantastic Joy. Those Black girls are stunners. Bluebell is a pretty thing too. All of them are growing off so beautiful. Your pictures turned out so good. Those black girls just grab you though. I have one from Winston and she looks much like those girls. HOpe she will have the height. She has the Width Thanks for sharing those.
