Renie, your birds are gorgeous AND huge!

So depending on the light, this little pullet either looks blue - or gray. For instance, today she looked gray. What is the preferred color, the blue?

Wow, Irene he definitely looks like his fathers son. Quite the lad at 8 months. That black girl is very large and so awesome looking.
I believe this year I have seen the best looking Orps I have ever seen in the US. Makes me smile

LOL Kathy... I was having a terrible time trying to get a pic of Levi by himself.. I have several chickens that LOVE to be in front of the camera. I had to keep shewing them away and I think Levi was getting annoyed.

BLaBauve.... yes.. Blame it all on Julie.. hahahaha Since they came from her house. OH and if you decide you don't want that gray pullet.... < lol She's blue) Just call me... I would love to have her.

Julie I love my chickens

Best birthday present ever! I have removed all but 2 roos that came from other sources which should be leaving next weekend. I plan on waiting at least 2 weeks to make sure the right roos are on the hens. I figure I am going to have to make some choices... and they are not going to be easy.... Right now.. I am going to hold onto the black roos until.... I can find them a good home. I just can't stand the thoughts of them going to freezer camp. I am thinking I will get down to Levi and Calvin. They look so much alike.. it is hard to tell them apart unless they are standing side by side. One is a little bigger.

Renie - Your birds are looking just awesome !!! Choosing what roosters stay and what roosters go is hard. I get so attached to my birds. I just took Rumples to his new home this past weekend. It was hard, but I know he is going to a great new home, so it wasn't too bad.

Picked up my pair from Cheryl's son, and they are HUGE! I can't believe how much larger they are than "normal" chickens the same age. The female completely oversizes the male. Both are very sweet and will eat from my hand. They had a good day yesterday, but got anxious at night, not being sure where to go.

I'd post pictures, but my internet is still not working properly, so I can't upload anything at the moment.

I put a little flashlight in their eglu and they were pretty happy sleeping in there. I moved my two in the big coop and they took right to it, even sleeping on the roosts at night!

Okay, I think I've decided on names. I wanted them to have English names.

So for the pullet, it's Arabella - meaning constant, unchanging
And the cockeral, it's Astor - meaning hawk
