The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

I thought i would share this pic of a awesome pair of true mottled orpingtons from Germany. What we are seeing here in the US is what the European orpington club calls Exchequer.http://www.orpington.nl/en/orpington-common/colours-large?album=4&gallery=124 The mottled orpington should only have white on the tips of the feathers not solid white feathers. For example the first pic is of a true mottled orpington.

Boy, those are a holiday arnt they? so colorful like fireworks..they always manage to keep the type too..beautiful Crystalwhite ,,i think somone posted them long time ago but it sure is nice to see them again.. it amazes me how many different varietys there are..and look how wide all the way through on that rooster..

this really helps people understand what is correct in their coloring...very important so thanks for sharing..its too bad we dont have an orpington education page in here, this would be a wonderful addition to that..

Renie, looks like they're really enjoying being outside.
Vicki, that boy deserves a name. Name him already.
Lots a Cluckin, I can't believe how much they've grown! I can see why you're especially fond of the Splash. Cuteness!

Crystal White, the breeder sure looks proud. I wish his birds were standing! They look as if they'd have short backs and high tails. I want to hug them!

Nellie, tried to take pictures of your blacks. I think you'll be pleased. It had been raining for two days and they chose to stay dry, never ventured out. Yesterday they were making up for it and wouldn't stand still! Bad babies.

I do have one little pullet, Pebbles, that is Rock Star's daughter that inherited his stance and holds a pose all the time. She's a hoot. Rain or shine, she's in front of the camera.

And speaking of babies, I took some bad pictures of my two little ones yesterday. But I'm showing them off anyway. Love the profile picture and only wish they weren't so blurry! These guys are just now 2 weeks old.

Very pretty. Need a like button

Oh Sarah, they're so cute. What do you girls feed those Buffs for such a nice color? And no shafting...dream on Dee.

I don't have baby chick pictures like most of you

, buy here is MY baby. He does have a neck...I promise. But this is his favorite way to stand...Not sure why? I feel like I need to offer him a treat so that he'll stand pretty. Reminds me of showing dogs that would only strike a pose if there was a reward...My baby will be one next month and will officially be a Cock Bird. Hard to imagine.

Here's Max posing for a treat, Geez. He has me really trained

I wanted a picture of him by my blooming hydrangeas and the agapanthus that were in bloom, but...no...he had a different setting in mind.
