The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

All of the chicks below will be 10 weeks old in a few days





The blues are already starting to get really good lacing!! Unfortunately both of them are roosters...but I have some younger ones that I'm pretty sure are pullets.








And my most precious and beautiful pullet (mostly because she is the only splash pullet I have )


Look how red her face already is...and she is not even 10 weeks yet!

I thought i would share this pic of a awesome pair of true mottled orpingtons from Germany.What we are seeing here in the US is what the European orpington club calls Exchequer.http://www.orpington.nl/en/orpington-common/colours-large?album=4&gallery=124 The mottled orpington should only have white on the tips of the feathers not solid white feathers.For example the first pic is of a true mottled orpington.
So when are you going to import some ") Very very nice

It's the same gene, I think, right? I know with jubilees the amount of white they express varies.
 
I just had to share these pics of our newest additions to our future BBS and Black breeding flocks....the pics were just to cute to keep to myself....I have a few of their older brothers and sisters..I will go out and take pics of them in a few..the babies below are 1 week old.
