I am beyond excited this morning

Charlie whom I hatched in 2008 Has produced so many nice chicks for me and others here in the US.  My dear friend Chirstina has had him now for two hatching seasons now along with some of my best  girls.  I just got 16 chicks in the mail back from him and these girls.  I would recognisze the head on these babies anywhere.  They are beautiful.   Thank you Christina

I don't know what is wrong with my PC this morning. It wondt let me copy and paste so I couldn't get a pic to come up sorry

here it is:

I do believe I have hatched my first two LF Choc/Mauve Orp project chicks today! My "bantam" Chocs are from Richard / Pampered Poultry and they are anything but bantam at 7-8lbs. I have them over my 75% English girls. I hatched a choc and a black! I am VERY excited! Pics once everyone is done hatching and fluffed!

sarah thanks for adjusting that..one handsome rooster in every aspect..

yaya nice looking group there..

Sylivia you have some lovely chciks. The black pullet sure has a nice Chest on her. I bet she will be awesome

Congratulations on your chocolates Reyvaughn!

Thank you aveca and BamaChicken! I have high hopes for that black; she is out of that hen that I was showing and did well with the beginning of the year.

Julie, Charlie is totally what I aspire to one day consistently breed. Hopefully in black AND blue. I have to keep telling myself: Patience and Babysteps...

Beautiful Babies,

These are a couple updated pics of some of the chicks I got from Nellie:

Super cute black cockerel

The feathers are just coming in and already you can see the green!
The blue I got from her:

Cute blue pullet with nice lacing

my favorite little girl has such a cute expression and great lacing

Here are some of Rogers I hatched out:

And finally, some that I hatched out Feb 1 (these are Amer x English cross)

This line is very leggy until 6-7 months old, then the skirt drops down and they totally change

Nice fluffy butts

This is a perfect example of how hard it is to get a good blue and how much I respect those of you who have accomplished that feat! I put my best black hen with a friends giant Splash cock (before I got Roger's splash) and these blues are the result; 3 eggs, same hen and rooster, three totally different shades of blue: clockwise from the left around the cockerel laying sown in center, lightest blue of the bunch is okay, then there is a charcoal that almost looks black and then a mix of dark and light feathers. This is one breeding I wont be repeating!

Thank you for the wonderful updated pics! Very nice blue pullet
