The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

I saw it..LOL!
My laptop is acting up today..had to use system restore earlier..as soon as I get it straightened out, I will get some new pics of her..

Beautiful birds ..wow..they are so big and pretty. Looking at your boy last year, it is amazing how he looks today..outstanding breeding Julie. Sorry for your loss too.

Aveca..looking forward to your pictures.

thought I would share a few pics I took this afternoon.

20 week old black Cockerel...not too shabby..comb and wattles are a bit big for his age but we'll see how he turns out...good wing carriage...good chest...not leggy at all..he may be a keeper? any opinions on him and any of the following birds would be much appreciated you guys might be able to help point out flaws that I did not see

20 week old Splash Pullet...honestly I can't find any thing wrong with her
lol.png
though she is a favorite

I would like her chest to fill out a bit more...to me she has that "orginal" Orpington look to her which I really like...she doesn't have the really round Cochin type to her.

These Lavenders are not imported nor were they breed to the English type standard as the ones above were they are just project / pets...but they are very pretty and have a nice color no gold/red leakage so far to be found which I am very please with and proud of.

20 week old Cockerel..not a fan of his "squirrel tail" but I really like his color

20 week old pullet...out of the 11 pullets and 3 cockerels I got out of this batch I only have a few with this ones color..a very solid 1 tone color all through out her body most of the pullets and all of the cockerels have darker heads and necks and then also darker patches on the wings for the boys..but this one along with 1 maybe 2 others are the only ones with this solid 1 tone color

and for some cuties...my youngest babies...12 weeks old.
Pretty Girl and Mr. Splash having and evening stroll in the grass

Pretty Girl and her 2 brothers? the one one the right confuses me...she has the face of a boy (comb and wattles) but the body of a girl she just has that pullet shape to her but looks to be getting some shinny hackle feathers in? plus she fights all of the time with the boy on the right and always dominates him.

Every body looks healthy and happy. Are you sure that the blue girl is with "Mr" splash ? Looks like it might be a pullet. If you can put a bit more depth of keel and fore chest on these BBS birds, you'll really improve them. That's all your splash favorite needs to be a really top bird that fits the US SOP.

X 2 on "Mr" splash...thinking it may be "Ms" Splash
