Blue-ish splash is the same thing as splash. You might be more likely to get it form blue x splash and blue x blue than you would splash to splash, as that can give you diluted birds. But genetically- there is NO difference.

"Blue splash" is like saying the bird's color is made of blue blue blue. It cannot be "blue blue blue" it can only be "blue blue".
Thanks?

I seriously don't know what your so worked up about. We are just trying to describe our birds to each other. No one is trying to say the birds are not splash. Please forgive us for not saying it very correctly. This is just for fun I was thinking
I agree- and what ever they are called I think they are pretty

but its not and wont be a blue, it is splash. Julie posted pics of its brother, they are splash with lacing and blue tint instead of off white. so blue splash. none of my blues ever hatch out yellow. always silver.

I posted this before I saw what other's were saying about a blue splash, it was the first I had seen or heard of this. Very pretty, I learn something new all the time

ah! yes I wondered if you had seen that, I thought it was turning blue too but wrong color legs, and I have never had a yellow be a blue. Julies pics helped a lot!! I had no idea a splash could get some lacing to it. Thinking that one will grow up and go over some really nice blacks and see if we get nice lacing to boot.

we get your point, we can still call them blue splash, its a description of physical appearance rather than correct genetic term. I dont see any issue with using it as a description. I think most are familiar with the genetic part of splash.

it was just a color description..

Not a single person answered Lots a Cluckin's question about how to "make blue splash", or even told her it was just a description. Everybody just went on as if it was a different color entirely.
I don't see why you have to get all offended because somebody else took the time to answer her question in an honest manner.

I think the answer is, they don't know how to make that particular kind of splash. Yes, they are all splashes, it's true. Genetically you can't have anything but a blue, black, or splash from blue matings. These look different though and I don't think anyone knows really why.
