Unless you hatch different chicks in the same hatcher and they mix and they are to close to tell until they mature. We have several different breeds and try not to hatch certain ones together due to similarities at hatch. Sometimes they get together and its a good thing they look different mature but that hurts selling them when you can't be sure what you have. LOLI just realized I'm really going to have to pay attention to tell the difference between the lavender cuckoo and my Isabel cuckoo lol I guess that's what leg bands are for
