The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Here are a few of my Large Fowl Chocolate English Orpingtons!
The parents of these chicks were the biggest chocolates I had ever seen! I am hoping these chicks will be the same!
They are from Chris Gourley owner of PawHead Poultry in Cleveland, TN.

The chicks pictured are 8-10 weeks old.

Nice, TnBearChick! ....and from the other end of the state....here's an update on my avatar chick born June 9, taken yesterday, July 23 (about 6 weeks old)

And finally my OrpB yesterday at about 2.5 months:

Hey Guys! This is Ayslen Redmon Owner of Lots 'A' Cluckin' Farm!

something happened to my other account and I can't get logged in. I have contacted admins but they are not sure what is wrong so! Since it has been nearly a week and I still can't get logged in I figured it was time to just make another account!

This is Marshmallow Peep. She is supposed to be a Mauve Orpington. She is a Mauve Splash. I didn't even know there was such a thing. Neither did the breeder. Has anyone else encountered this? Her splashes are all mauve.

Here she is with her sister.

The splashes aren't blue, either. They are greyish brown to tan.

Did she look like this when she was born? This is a new baby of mine born to my English Orps, Chocolate Mama and either a BBS or Lav Daddy. I can't wait to see her feathered out! EMPHASIS on "her" hahahaaaa

No, she was yellow. She hatched just before Easter, hence her name, Marshmallow Peep. Yours looks mauve! Fingers crossed! I did have another mauve hatch out but it tore the umbilical cord and didn't make it.

Can anyone help me out on naming the coloration here? This blue rooster of ours was 5 1/2 months old when I shot these:

I'm wondering: is this it's own color pattern or is he still working on feathering out his dark upper half?
