The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

A friend of mine has a quad of English Lavender Orps for sell! Contact me if you are interested! He lives in Cleveland TN These are the birds that you would be buying! The rooster is 22 months old and the Hens are about 15 months old. The rooster is sun bleached but when he molts most of that should come out!
Gorgeous! But shipping would be outrageous to california haha

@Chickengirl1304 I am so sorry, but you've done the right thing. When this happens repeatedly, it's awfully hard to make it stop. I don't know if you had tried putting her indoors in a totally dark room to stop her from laying for a while, but even if you had, once things go this persistently wrong with egg laying, it's almost impossible to make it right. Been there.

LOL yes it would be because the hens are all 10-12 lbs. each and the rooster over 18 lbs. I saw these birds in person and trust me they are HUGE some of the biggest I have ever seen in the entire Orpington breed let alone lavenders!

Here are a few of my chicks that I bought, these are the chicks that the quad will produce!
The chicks pictured are 8-10 weeks old

Take a virtual tour of our breeding coops! These are our "Stall Coops" The building is 12 x 20 ft. there are four, 4 x 12 ft. stalls within the building! Plus a food storage area!

We will be using the stalls to house some of our breeding flocks of 12 birds or less.

The entire building is well ventilated with 4 large windows and vents at the peaks of the building! It is also completely insulated throughout the building!

We will soon be adding netting to the stalls to prevent any "wall jumping" so there will be no question that we are selling pure eggs and chicks!

About what age can one tell the males from females? All my 5 week old chicks have largish combs already! Any guesses? These pictures aren't that great though
