The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

This group is Hagrid, The O's, and Bluebell. It was windy today, so some are a bit windblown.

What a way for everyone to come out of hibernation! haha Joy, I just love the pics of Hagrid and the O's. I love the blues, but there's just something about good blacks. Just beautiful!

Wow, Joy. They are gorgeous. Was Blueberry always such a knockout or is she just really "coming into her own" now?

Julie, yours are amazing, too. You are really, really tempting me with that splash pen!!!

I love looking at these pictures. Thanks for posting.

Daphne

Joy, Blueberry and Bluebonnet have excellent lacing as their mother. Everytime I see them I have to say wow. I definitely want some more chicks out of Winston and Minerva. The P's are all looking well. Clementine just has the most gorgeous type. I have to say she keeps increasing in her beauty.
Everyone should note the feathers on the O's You want wide feathers. Just breathtaking as always. Those girls are just fine. You did a great job capturing the size of your birds. I need to get ground level with mine.
I really love Nigels back. He has a wonderful sweep up the back from the neck. Although young I really like the way he looks. Sirius reminds me of Winston with great width. I love his size. Wow.
Joy you have done well.

I know your looking forward to start hatching some pretties.

Makes me smile to see all the Orp picy.

Julie and Joy,
As always, I am just loving scrolling up and down, over and over again, looking at the beautiful pictures! Nigel's name suits him. He looks like a Nigel to me. I love all the gorgeous lacing on the blues. The blacks are all just stunning, as well. I could never choose one favorite.

Thanks to you both, for sharing your pictures!

Thanks Bill- Bluebell is definitely a stunning young lady. I can't wait to see what kind of babies I'm going to get from her.

Paula - I love that picture of Sirius, too. I have a patch of river oats and all my birds just love playing in them.

Daphne - Blueberry is just now "coming into her own." She's always been pretty, but she and Bluebonnet are just now past that gangly stage and are now looking more like young pullets. I think they are going to be beautiful as adults.

Julie - I am liking Nigel more and more too. He is not as broad as the other boys, but his back is beautiful, his color is beautiful, and his tail looks really really good. And he is a clown on top of it all. He is a hoot. He is always the first to come out of the coop when I open the dwarf door and he comes out stumbling, flip-flopping, and falling all over the place in order to get out in a hurry. He is really funny. I plan on hatching lots of babies from Winston & Minerva this year !! Those 2 have made some beautiful chicks. I just wish everybody would start laying so I can get my incubators cranked up and going !!! I really am very anxious to start hatching.

Kathy - Thanks !! Nigel does look like "Nigel" doesn't he? LOL.

This was a stormy day, so the lighting wasn't the best, but here's some shots of my 2 pullets.

The girl in the front was the featherless "ostrich" one from Cheryl. She's turning out to be even more beautiful than her sister. She's gaining in size rapidly as well.

This girl is already as big as my fully grown Marans hen.
