My turn.

Some good shots, some not so good. My "chicks" won't hold still any more! I feel like I can hardly ever get a decent picture anymore.

Yes... that is our Christmas tree in the background, they enjoy playing in the wood pile so we figured they might like the tree, too.

Kinda blurry, this picture doesn't do justice in showing Alice's lacing but it gives you an idea of her color.

A lovely black.

So, a question about tails... I have some with tails like those on the left and some with those like on the right. Which is preferred? Why does the pullet on the right have such an "open" bottom?

Lacing and tails, I take lots of pictures like this while they're gobbling up food I throw in attempt to take nice pictures...

My blue cockerel, I don't know how to feel about him? He's wide?

My blacks just glimmer, their green sheen is so intense.

This is pretty much the only way I can get them to hold still for a picture.

Around the wood pile again.

My babies will be five months old on the 29th! I can hardly believe how much and how quickly they've grown!

I still remember them when they looked like this.

Maybe tomorrow they'll hold still for some better shots...

Jermey you birds are looking great. I love your splash and blue cockerel. YOu have some girls with fantastic lacing. YOU should show some of those.

The black pullets are looking good to.

Tonya you and Katy are closest to those UK imports so make friends.

Yesterday morning my 2 1/2 month old splash cockerel started crowing. He was so proud of hisself. Threw his chest out and head back and let her rip. We named him Tyson after my youngest grandson. He looks like he will be and excellent example of UK type. Joy he is offspring of Charlie and Petra. Eggs I collected before I mailed her.

Julie I haven't looked much into showing, I'm honestly scared to... but these birds make me want to. I feel like they could be serious contenders.

Neither of my boys, at almost 5 months old have even tried to crow. Not one bit.

I wonder why?

Do you have any roos around that crow? If they can hear it, they seem to crow earlier.

Most don't crow that early. I have a five month old that has not thought about crowing yet
