The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

we bought our BBS from ReniesPeeps... also known as Irene. She is super nice and has some beautiful Orpingtons! Our girls are super sweet and great layers, I would recommend her highly!

These are my blue Orpington chicks, father is a very large Orpington, possibly English. Can you tell me what are the chicks? Are they all blue orpingtons or are some black orpingtons, some blue, some splash( the whitish ones)?
I will try to post additional photos.

Are they Blue, Black with the blue gene, and blue splash?

What color were the parents? Blues?

The chicks appear to be Black, Blue, and Splash. Black chickens do not have the blue gene, Blue chickens have 1 blue gene, and Splash chickens have 2 blue genes.

Ok, then the chicks are definitely BBS.

This is a rooster included with my Blue Orpington chicks. The breeder said one of his blue hens was the mother of the chicks like this and sometimes they had a few feathers on their feet. This one does not.

The pictures really do not do him justice. He is very handsome.
Is he a blue Patridge, a blue mutt, blue hybrid or what?
