Just for fun I took some pics of my Choc Cuckoo Orp...He actually wanted to go with me to get his picture taken. He runs staight up to me when he sees me and wants his neck and chest rubbed. He pecks the others if they come near :/ He's smaller than the others but has a huge personality :gig

Hey, you said there would be treats!

I agree that for 5 weeks he looks very male. Those wattles are hanging down & there's a bit of height to the comb. His size is good. His back is unusually bald. Normally I see the porcupine look (like on his wings). I'm guessing his chick down somehow got rubbed off & he's not growing feathers yet.
Yes I agree! I didnt realize his wattles were so pronounced until I saw the pic lol.

Here's the Isabel Cuckoo pair. They are so chill and laid back but they hate my camera. I couldnt get them to stand by the can they hated it. They just kept huddling together like little lovebirds.

These are my guesses.
Lav 1 - Pretty sure she's a girl. A big girl, but she just looks more feminine than all the the rest.
Lav 2 - Could go either way.
Lav 3- Perhaps a slower maturing male. (What I would guess if it were my line.) Your other males are so easy to spot, so I could be wrong. (I also tend to guess more males.) You'll know soon. Watch for dropping wattles on #2 & #3.
Lav 4- Definite male

Choc cuckoo - another easy identifiable male. I love him!

Thank you so much, I value your opinion! I keep going back and forth on #2 demeanor says girl but then i dont know, sometimes I think boy lol. I really hope I get at least 2 Lavender girls. :fl
Getting their pictures is work! :gig

That goofy Choc Cuckoo does this weird thing to get through the crowd of bigger Orps. He sticks his neck and beak straight out like an arrow and just kinda shoots his way through. Sometimes he does it right INTO the crowd so they all scatter. I believe he does it purposely to get them to run. Its hysterical. He's such a goober. :lau
