Hideous little Lavender Silver-laced. Lol I’m positive the smaller one is a cockerel. The larger bird has thinner legs and has always been feathered better than the smaller one. In these pictures they both look flushed and like boys. In person the comb is much more pale.
This is pretty little Mauve pullet I got a few months ago. She's really filled out nicely and the color is growing on me. I think I'll leave her in the Blue pen to throw Blue and Chocolate chicks.
Blue Orpington trio with Mauve pullet. The Blue pullet is a sister to the Mauve. The Blue hen is Agatha, and the cockerel is really filling out. He's not as good looking or as dark as Suede, but I'm hoping breeding him to Agatha and Dahlia, Suede's sisters, that he'll throw some better looking babies.
More of the Lavender Silver-laced.
Blue Orpingtons again. I do really like the shape on the pullet.
Babies enjoying the cooler evening temperatures. There's some Silver-laced, White, Blue (Silver-laced), and Lavender Silver-laced in here, plus the Blue Slate turkey poults, Guinea keets, and the Seramas and Mars Bars. And the Chocolate Muscovy Ducklings.
They are both going to be boys...the more I look at them the less I'm convinced one is a pullet.
