Thanks Joy, He was from that last hatch of chicks from Charlie in June last year. He will soon be eight months old. Hard to believe. He is not liking being Cooped up:lau. Sorry couldn't help myself.

I am very looking forward to seeing his offspring with Taylor. If he produces a male I like i will name him Mr. T

I better keep him for a while till I get some babies out of him. I might then consider , might.

If i didn't have to go to the Co Op and get feed before they roll up the sidewalks at noon I would post a few more pics. When I get back I will try and get a few more on. I know you must have more Joy

I love the comb on that roo! Very evenly spaced! I know Jody needs to work on her birds' combs but she is working on the color first and then get down to the comb points evened out. It would take time but with that roo, he is so handsome!

Ewesheep combs have been addressed during 4th and 5th generations, breedings and selections and plus adding in some english blood, much smaller combs now.

got our first pullet eggs this week, anyways those larger combs in our colder climates here in the north don't fair well.

Bama you could send all 3 of those to me! but ok...I know the answer to that one lol. They are really nice.

Happy Chooks - Mine have never laid that early, but doesn't mean they couldn't.

My girls have all started to squat whenever I even come close to them, I've installed nesting boxes in their coop so maybe I'll get an egg soon too!

I'm not going to hold my breath waiting, but it would be fantastic to have them start laying, I would love to put some of my own eggs in the incubator. My girls are 21 weeks now, so just a bit younger than yours Kelly.

My boys though... they are a different story. I don't think either of them are even remotely close to "doing the deed". They're still such big babies!
