The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Thanks all. Still nothing with the other 2 eggs. I'll candle them when it gets dark enough to see if I see any movement. I'm still going to hope.

Kathy - Julie is right - once you use the soap she and I make, you will never be able to use a bar of store-bought soap again. I haven't used store-bought soap or shampoo for 10+ years now. I use this soap on my hair - no need for shampoo and conditioner.

So all the talk about this wonderful soap, where the pics!!

Julie takes pictures of her soap, but I don't. LOLOL. Pictures can't describe how wonderful it is !! Julie adds all kinds of fun things to hers - colors, etc. I don't do that - mine is very plain in appearance compared to hers. I do have a couple of scents that I make where I use my herbs that I grow and some of those make it a different color.

Hey Joy, I did take some pics of chicks that hatched monday and tuesday. They didn't want to stand up though. Threw a pic of my bathtub in the Diningroom in so you can see it. One of these days someone is going to come and install it and the tile piled on the hearth.

I want soap too! I love homemade soaps. I bought some at a market up in Sonoma county that was made with goat's milk, it was fantastic!

You're holding out on us Joy and Julie.

I really like the smell of Lavender, or something reminiscent of fresh rain. Could y'all make a cake of something like that?

Now I took some pics of various stages of babies. Who remembers two weeks ago when I showed you trio of three week olds. They are finally feathering in good. Two black boys and a pretty broad breasted blue girl.

Renie - I've never made anything with Almond, or Lily of the Valley, or Vanilla. Julie has made some with vanilla, though.

I ordered some fragrance oils this past week and this will be the very first time I've ever used anything other than essential oils. I'm a real "no chemical" freak, so I've always just used essential oils, my herbs that I grow myself, etc. But Votivo has these two candle scents of Moroccan Fig" and "Blackberry Basil" that are just exquisite. Julie found the Blackberry Basil scent and I found the MOroccan Fig scent, so we are going to try to make soap with them and see how they turn out.

Jeremy - I'm sending out some soap next week to a couple of people - I can send you a couple of bars of what I have made up - which is my chamomile with Neroli essential oil. I also have a few bars of some soap I made a little while ago. It was an experimental fragrance that I made with Patchouli, Sandalwood, and Myrrh essential oil, and cedar wood powder. I love the scent that I concocted, but I didn't put enough of the fragrance in the soap....it is a masculine scent that I made for my husband. If you want, I'll send you a bar or two of each and see if you like it ?
