Kathy - I'll send you a couple of bars too next week.

I;ve got some goats milk in the freezer, but haven't tried it yet. I might get up the guts to give it a shot.

Julie - purty soap ! LOL.

Love the pictures of the ones napping. I also like the pretty blue girl in picture #1 and I love that little blue boy with his head all poked up in picture #2.

I have a constant peeper in this new group of babies. It's about time for them to get in teh big brooder and be introduced to "Mama Hen."

LOL the last thing I want to smell like during the spring when HUNGRY bears are waking up is berries.. haha no thanks.. and if you make soap for me ... PLEASE don't let cedar anything near it or I wll be sick sick sick.. I am allergic to it.

What about... using cookie cutters

Maybe doubling up... use cookie cutters to make small shapes... then drop them down into your bar mold before the new soap sets up.... this will lock it together.

I use plain wooden loaf molds for mine. I tried a bunch of other molds before settling on just plain. I'm not worried about the fancy look - I just want the soap. LOL.

Julie - on the other hand - wants hers to be all "purty" and stuff.

but this crew has a higher ratio of blues to blacks than the previous hatch. I placed one of my big black roos tonight. Soo there are 2 blue and 2 black roos over 15 hens now.. Still to many but I am working on it.

Julie takes pictures of her soap, but I don't. LOLOL. Pictures can't describe how wonderful it is !! Julie adds all kinds of fun things to hers - colors, etc. I don't do that - mine is very plain in appearance compared to hers. I do have a couple of scents that I make where I use my herbs that I grow and some of those make it a different color.

I want soap too! I love homemade soaps. I bought some at a market up in Sonoma county that was made with goat's milk, it was fantastic!

You're holding out on us Joy and Julie.

I really like the smell of Lavender, or something reminiscent of fresh rain. Could y'all make a cake of something like that?

Home made soap is the best, I make 100% goat milk soap and eveyone loves it.
