The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Quote:
I've sent you a PM and I've tried to send one to Julie but her box is full. I'd love to buy some 100% English B/B/S Orps from either of you to add to my small flock, which originally came from Julie. I'd love to have some older started pairs and can pay right away including having juvenile or adult birds shipped.

Ruth - I PM'd you. Julie is out of town and will be back later this evening.

RR - It's hard to answer every question. Julie and I have both made posts on this thread that show the progression of growth from chick to about 8 months of age or so.

I don't post many personal things here, but if you could all keep my husband and his uncle in your thoughts. My husband's uncle (who is elderly and my husband is his last living relative ) lives about 3 hours from us. Nobody has heard from him or seen him in 7 or 8 days. We've called and called and called and no answer or return call. My husband is on his way to Charlotte now to have the police meet him there and break in the house. I fear the worst and I"m sick to my stomach.

Thank you all

Thinking good thoughts for your uncle. Hope it all turns out well and its just a phone problem.

I know you and Julie try to show and answer a lot of things, bout the only two that do. one could spend hours trying to go through this entire thread though and still miss many many things. Sometimes its just easier to ask and get a simple answer instead of searching through the entire thing and then not finding what you wanted to know about. its nothing personal towards anyone, it just seems to some that if your not there in the beginning of a thread a newbie goes unnoticed no matter how many attempts they make to participate and learn as they go. Its just a general observation I see on any message board or forum.

its not anyone in particular, just the dynamic of public forums. Squeaky wheel gets greased does it not?

Joy, you and Dwain will be on my mind this weekend.

When I'm upset, or sad, I always go and spend time with my birds. Their unconditional affection helps me feel better.

ETA: I found my first actual pullet egg in the yard this morning.

I think it was my Black girl that laid it, she was panting heavily yesterday and squatting left and right. I didn't put it in the incubattor, I feel by now whatever remnants of Edmund there may be would already be long gone.
