Since it's still too wet to do a lot outside, I've used this weekend to catch up with all on this thread and really am learning a lot....read til my eyes were crossing last night

I will say this is one of the more helpful and informative about the breed and hatching.

Hey Everyone - Thank you so much for all the good wishes. I so appreciate it. I have a good update. Dwain made it to Charlotte and learned that his uncle was in a rehab facility. Apparently somebody had broken into his home and tried to rob him and knocked him unconscious. When he came to, he called the police. The police came and took him to the hospital and he was discharged a few days ago to a rehab facility. When they took him to the hospital, he did not have his glasses or his address book and he did not know anybody's phone number. He said he had been asking and asking for somebody to get his address book so he could call his nephew, but nobody would help him with that. Anyway - Dwain made it to the rehab facility and was able to see his uncle and he is okay. The thing that bugs me is that we called all the hospitals yesterday and asked if his uncle was admitted there or had been discharged in the last few days and we were told no.

Anyway - it's a good ending to what I thought was going to be a very bad ending, so I'm really happy - but quite emotionally drained.

I would call them back and ask to speak to some bosses...thats not right. makes one wonder what else they mess up if they cant even keep track of who was in their hospital in the last day or two...

I'm so glad he's okay! That was a major FAIL on the part of the facilities administrative staff. I hope he can go home or go to a more caring, responsive place soon.

Joy i am soo glad to hear everyone is gonna be just fine.... Maybe you could have a bracelet made for the Uncle with Dwains number on the back in case of emergencies like this.
