Hey Joy. I can't believe she had one hatch. I remember that story. He's a cutie, for sure.

I know Paula !! I was so surprised when she told me that she had one hatch. She said that two actually developed, but only 1 hatched. He is a handsome little fella.

Kassandra - He won't be lonely for long. I just shipped this lady a box of day-old chicks yesterday, so he'll have some siblings soon - hopefully today !!

I'm going to ask her to send me photos along the way. I am really impressed with this guy and I would love to see how he grows out.

Beth - How's my little baby doing lately? Still doing good? I sure do miss that little one.

And has anybody seen Jeremy? He has been MIA for a while now.

Joy, you must a be a hatching fool these days! I actually just started up the incubator again yesterday-ughhh, do I really wanna do it?? Just gonna set a few...

lol

I was out playing with my Joy Orps yesterday. They have really grown, and are getting more and more beautiful every day. Some of them are really starting to fill out. There's this one black pullet that I really like the look of. I guess it's time for another photo shoot.

Hey Paula - I have been hatching like crazy. I have a standing appointment with the PO on Monday's at about 11:50AM to ship chicks. LOL. I just set my last batch of eggs yesterday for a while. Getting ready to go on vacation so can't have eggs in the bator. I am soooooooooooooo ready for a vacation. If another hurricane comes along and messes it up, I'm going to be very unhappy. What are you hatching now Paula?

Clementine is still molting, though she is looking REALLY good. I'm hoping that by the time we get back she'll be done and will start laying again so I can start hatching from her. We are hoping to have some juvenile pairs or trios available in the spring, but W&C need to cooperate for that goal to be met.

New photos would be great !! I need to get some of the 4 youngest W&C chicks. I might try to do that today, if I am not taking lessons on the lawn mower. Our old mower finally bit the dust, so we had to get a new one. We ordered a new one and it should be here today or tomorrow. I've never used one of those fancy zero-turns before, so will have to have lessons on how to operate it, since I do most of the mowing. I'm actually pretty excited about it. It is touted to cut mowing time in half. This would be great, because it takes me about 8 hours to mow my yard.

I'm just setting a few Cochin eggs-nothing much. Just checking fertility, mostly. Fingers crossed that nothing messes with your vacation. You need it after hatching all these chicks. lol

Hopefully by the time vacation is over, Clem and Winston will be ready to start giving you more babies. They'll be all rested up.

I'll try to get pics today, if it's not too hot. Humidity is just unbearable-yuck! So, what kind of Zero Turn did ya get? I've been having my Gravely for about 4 years now-best investment I ever made. I got the commercial grade, because I have so much grass to cut, and it is a monster-will run over anything. You'll love yours, whatever kind you get. It'll cut your crass-cutting time by half-at least. It's kind of awkward to use at first, but takes no time to get used to. It's actually lots of fun to drive. I enjoy cutting grass. It's my thinking time---which can be both good and bad-if you know what I mean...

Some big commercial grade honker. LOL. We have around 5-6 acres to cut. The rest of our property is wooded. I enjoy mowing too, MOST of the time. Sometimes, though, it just gets old having to spend 8 hours at least once a week on the mower - that pretty much takes up one of my whole days off !! I'll be happy if it cuts the time down to 5 hours. I'm not the most coordinated of people, so I'm hoping I can get used to it and drive the darn thing.

WOW 5-6 acres of lawn??? That's got to be beautiful...At my house in Northern California we have about 300 sq feet of lawn on our 1 acre! And I think that's alot to have to water!
