Ever notice what great poses you can catch them in when you don't have your camera with you ? That's why most of mine are took with my phone cause its with me all the time & it don't do a very good job, but it works.

Orpingtonman the silver laced and whites are very striking. Thanks for sharing
I know there are several breeders here trying to get the whites up to par. I was reading a very interesting article on a website in Aussie by a breeder who is trying to improve the size and brightness of the whites by breeding in cuckoo. They were trying to figure out how long it would take to clean up the leg color and eyes. I think they are on their first cross.
Their whites lacked the width.
 
Hi new to Orpingtons. I just hatched 4 chicks from "Ruth" on BYC. 1 black, 2 blue and one splash. How long does it take to know if they are pullet's or cockerels? Mine are almost a week, so I figured I have a few weeks at least. They seem to be growing wing feathers the slowest out of my mixed flock. Is that normal? They look like little tanks even at this age. I'll post a photo when I'm on my computer.
 
Naturespace, I have found most of mine to be slow feathering. I usually can tell by four weeks on most if they are cockerels. Sometimes you will have a late bloomer.
