The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

those of you that have jubilees, I recently hatched 3 babies. One is all yellow and two are yellow with a small brown smudge on their backs, is this typical? I am just checking because my son did not do a good job securing one of the other roos and he was pen hopping, but these chicks don't have any of the characteristics of the other pens he got into....

Yep! Some even have a tiny bit of brown down their backs. It is awesome to watch them blossom into Jubilees

k, good. My son swore there was no way he was getting in there but I wanted to make sure. This roo gets himself tangled in the netting in the ceiling as he tried to get over the barrier and hang upside down until he frees himself. I thought it was just stupid luck but apparently he does this repeatedly to visit different girls

.
he will be sorry when dh finishes the current coop, he will have his own "quarters" and will have a welded wire ceiling....

Has anyone heard of Jones Poultry Farm in Kentucky? They are selling Black English Orp eggs on Ebay and Rarebreedauctions.com. I bought some but I'm seriously thinking I've been had. There was $10 worth of postage do when I got the box and I had 3 broken eggs, a cracked egg and other eggs with egg mess all over them. It was a horrible packing job.

I know there was a problem a few weeks ago in the 24 hr thread about not fulfilling orders, apparently they were in a storm area and had some damage. Many of the wonderful BYC'ers offered to help out and they put their address on the thread for anyone that wants to "help" and send them hatching eggs.....eh, I wouldn't purchase, but that's me.

Sorry you had such a horrible experience. Before I buy on ebay I look for the seller on BYC to see what I can find about them, it can paint a picture for you and help you decide if you want to do business with them.... I can find anything on the thread if they ever filled any of the orders, refunded the money, or if the debt was forgiven

Yes they never shipped us our chicks that we ordered back in February,i called them and he told me he would have them hatched out by august,Then most recently was trying to sell LF chocolate orp and jubilee orp eggs on rarebreed's,and some of our friends where bidding on them,Thank god i contacted them in time so they did not get scammed, but unfortunately some people did.I am sorry you are on the list like us,as the people that got taken for a ride, also my friend Ronnie ordered his mille Fleur leghorn egg's,Not one egg was fertile, not 1 bulls-eye.

I hope that the original owners of these pics don't mind me sharing. They are all beautiful chickens. Surely, you all don't mind me showing off your beautiful chickens. If you do, let me know. You deserve all of the credit for your efforts.

These L/F Chocolates are from all the way in the UK. Storminstaffs, these are beautiful. https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...colate-or-dun-colored-chickens-dun-sumatra/70

These are nice young Jubilees also. This image was acquired from http://www.luggacurrenpoultry.com/gallery.php and from all the way in the UK also. They are as pretty as they should be. It looks a little windy in the UK on that day.

Korfus Kluckers has really nice Black Orpingtons right here in our own country. Beautiful, just beautiful. You might could have bought some here, if you were only watching. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280868544652
But, is this seller legitimately selling Korfus stock? I don't think so.

You should probably contact Korfus Kluckers first. http://www.korfuskluckers.com/ Just, to make sure you are dealing with the original breeder of these fine birds.

And Laura, you have some really nice Mille Fleur Leghorns. https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/305410/6-mille-fleur-leghorn-eggs

I saw some just like these on Ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...Yr7gwSxaP4YL6Lyza3124%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
They looked almost identical to yours. Even the coop looks just like yours. That's weird.

Protect you pictures. There are people looking to profit from your photos. Even though decent digital cameras can be bought for under $20 these days that can be used to take pics of their own chickens.

I know we shouldn't have to, but adding your name across the picture really helps. I had a few of mine stolen till I started adding our name on them
"water marking'.
I wanted to say thank you to Greg (oldorchardfarm) for giving me a heads up on the RBA auction. It ended up "the guy" was banned on RBA and no one had to purchase his eggs.
