Just wanted to share this pretty boy who is about 6 months old. Imogene hatched him out of a Blue cock I saved last year. He made two really nice boys about the same. They have great combs and remind me so much of Charlie at that age except maybe their color might be better and their combs too. She hatched about 16 chicks and we culled through them to about 6. Those six are turning out really good. I can't wait to get some chicks off this boy. They havent started crowing yet.

Imogene is my best Chicken buddy and friend. We work together so we dont have to keep many. This boy is going to be a wide load and his color people is great

Thanks Jeremy. I took a pic of a hen I gave her but she had jumped up wanting treats and it is hard to see how big and what awesome type she has.

If these blue hens ever start laying again we are going to do some hatching

are these Gold laced Orpingtons..if so are they bantams? I bought some from GF and roo died abt 2 weeks after bought and the hen is about 1 1/2 year old and she isnt big as nothing. I was to buy LF Gold Laced.. but instead of this she is...

They are Greenfire's line and LF. I had twelve. Nine of them cockerels. All are fine and are good size, pullets as well as cockerels.

Good looking boy there Julie, looks allot like my JR, He has turned into just about a pet scence after the show, he now heads a brood pen of about 6 girls, keep up the good work gals, looking good !!!!!

Yes she is like a sister. Don't know what I would do without her. We make soap together too. Love to go Junkin together. She is very talented. Can Paint, make flower arrangements like a florist.

I love that they make soap too..Im inspired to give it a go this spring..I have it in my mind that I want to do a sweet pine soap white..I just like that scent all year round thou most people like it around Christmas time..I always have bath and body works or yankee candles cedar pine burning this time of year..Now If I can make a hand soap like that Im going to be a happy camper..crabtree and evlyn makes a perfect pine liquid soap that we have all of the time..going to be fun to try this..inspired by Julie..have bramble berry bookmarked..I just have so much goin on with chickens right now..and work , its hard to fit everything you want to do in..

Roger, Those are just tops! I just have to get out and take some new pics of boo..he looks like a young man now..not a little fella..his comb is red now , he has tried to crow a couple times but nothing to write home about..hes livley, happy shiney and happy! I think hes just about 7 mos..beautiful full chest love picking him up..he just feels good to hold, lots of chicken there, thou he isnt crazy about it..he knows Im never going to hurt him so he puts up with me..they are all out flying around the pasture this morning..its a very strange 70 degrees today..awful warm for december, but Ill take it..get lots done..
