i think that one is going to be an icebreaker..lord, 2 of them are actually massivly wide for that age...i think the thing that stunned me a bit was every egg from her is female.....the brit hen just needs more time being that much younger..will be interesting to see what hers do..when i first had the white baby with them..ihad a devider..but the baby cried so i took it out to see what would happen it kept trying to crawl under the bigger ones and they let it..kept the devider right there but never needed it..at night when i go out to check the 3 big ones sleep right together..and then a tiny white head pops up from the middle..too cute.my australorp almost never tolerate a new one like that..takes a long time..
i have a lot of females this year..not sure why but one of the standard black pullets is massive big..shes tthe biggest pullet ive hatched yet..wasnt expecting that out of mrs softie...but thought , my goodness..so much fun to watch all of this..so glad i can work at home right now and be here all day to fuss if i need to...
