Since I moved, I've looked around for a source of feed that does have animal protein in it. No luck. Oh how I miss my MG brand food with fish meal in it! Any suggestions?

So far I figure just give them some leftover meat when I have it (which is a few times a week) and hope for the best.

I soak some dog nuts for three or four hours and mix it with their feed, they love it

LOL. I'm sure he means some sort of dry dog food.

Sorry it might go by a different name in other countries but they are dried dog food, the sort that you can buy in 20kg bags

i'm guessing some dry cat food might help them out too for the cold months

my wife works at one of the local inns

they just go nuts
it's almost like crack for chickens

I ferment my feed, adding fresh fruit & veggies plus alfalfa pellets. Several times a week I add dry cat food, dry dog food, can tuna or salmon, crushed boiled eggs (shell included) cooked pasta or rice etc. Pretty much what ever is left over that they can or will eat I add that too.
