I have a project going now for the lavenders it will be a few years before it is complete but my #1 goal at the end of this project is to have big fluffy lavenders like my black pullet below.

So once I get the lavs where I want them I will start on my own Porcelain project

Getting feather width and quality like a good Black's on a Lavender is very hard. There is some correlation between the dilute gene, and feather quality, just as there are often coat problems in dilute dogs.

I've used triple antibiotic ointment in eyes (of everything including myself a couple of times) for years. It clears up eye infections really quick. Just don't use the one with pain relief. It does say not to put it in eyes right the tube though. I am feeling really redneck about this reply...

Missed this post. Where does one buy the ointment? "Pricey" stopped being a concern for me a long time ago. My children won't get anything from me. My chickens are getting it all.

nice lavenders are REALLY hard to find which is why I am working on my own..trying to get them how I want them and how they should look.

I am just starting on the 1st generation I am just waiting for the eggs to get big enough then I will start hatching out the splits.
