The water bottles are really easy. I bought the nipples from QC supply and we just saved up the smaller soda bottles while at the beach you drill a hole in the bottom and push the nipple through(thats the hard part). We wrapped wire around the top to put a hook on it. You have to keep the lid off so that air can let the water down. I tried water bottles but they were to flemsy. If I were to do it again I would use the screw in type of nipple instead of the push in type. The push in type works great for hard plastic like a water bucket. I'll take a picture of my water bucket that I use in a crate. I started this at the fair this past summer. Their water always gets so dirty and they stay there for 8 days so I put these soda bottles in there and it seems to break the boredom of being caged and they peck at it and learn that water comes out.
Chicks get it right away, no training necessary and it leaves more room for them. I need to put another one in for them. I can almost see these guys grow before my eyes.
I've never hatched before, but do you normally see combs right away? I have a feeling I have like 7 roos and 3 girls.
I'll post pictures soon.

I want to see pictures of Jasper. My Walter, the other blue, is not feeling well, I hope I don't lose him!
