The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Other than emailing them I'm not sure what I can do. I reported the seller on ebay to ebay and also emailed them and they did take my picture down.

Since this is a website and not ebay I'm not sure who I could report them to...BBB maybe? I know a picture whether it has a watermark or not is the property of the person who took the picture so they not only stole that from me they're certainly defrauding the people who buy eggs based on that picture. They call them Blue Laced Red Wyandottes......but they're BBS wyandottes.

I started a thread about it here:

Katy, I've got a PicasaWeb account that has an option to block anyone but you from downloading your images. If you upload them to Picasa, and select the 'all rights reserved option' then Picasa blocks the ability to download the image.

If you use Picasa for all the pictures you post online, I think that should eliminate the problem. As I can't test it myself and I've never had one of my friends try to download a pic to test it, my apologies if it doesn't work.

Just so you know - that doesn't or didn't work. I just downloaded your picture to test that application because people are always stealing my famous picture of my Black Copper Marans and using it. But, sadly, as you can see - Picasa isn't protecting the pictures.

Your picture is now on my pc hard drive and in my Photobucket account.

Yep, I got that one too. I also saw you two were posting while I was also trying to let you know your pictures aren't safe.

I've got all the privacy settings to the max; they're definitely getting a complaint.

Well, there's a way to make it so that only people with the URL can view a picture, but that means you can't post it on a website like this. You'd have to e-mail the exact link to the person you wanted to allow to view the pics.

Supposedly.

Hate to tell you - but....got that one too.

Also, from what I've found, because BYC is so popular on google - you don't even have to visit it to steal photos posted on it. For example - go to Google and "google" black copper marans pictures - a whole page of pictures will come up - including mine that I've posted on BYC auctions.

All anyone has to do - who wants a picture of anything - is to Google that item + pictures and an entire page (or more) of photos will come up for easy pickings.

It is a mess. I don't understand why people don't just go out and take a picture. So many cell phones have cameras, and if they don't have them, ask a friend or a neighbor, or their teenager.
