Great news, thanks! They have been eating me out of house and home lately with all their growing, so I'm looking forward to them paying their way in eggs and broodies! They are 7 1/2 months old now.

Kelly, I want so so so so so so so so so so so much for one of my English girls to go broody, more than I ever have wanted any chicken to go broody before. Just think about the endless quantity of eggs you could stuff under all of that fluff! I'm betting I could easily fit a hundred or so eggs under Alice's butt.

I cant believe the first chicks I hatched out are 6 weeks old already, and I really cant beleive how HUGE they are....It amazes me everytime I see them. My hubby and I just made them a nice big coop and they are now out in that instead of inside. They are loving the room to run around and stretch their legs and wings. I took some pics of them today when I was out changing leg bands. Hope you enjoy!

I am soooooooooo excited. I got the word today from Paul (Greenfire Farms) that my Gold Laced Orp chicks shipped today !!!

I won't be able to sleep a wink until they arrive safe and sound !!
