gosh what a amazing thread.

feel quite down at how nice your chucks look, most of mine seem to have faults, only posting as Bamachicken says I should.



Oh well, I breed mainly bantams - have a soft spot for the mottle ( giving me grief at the moment, but its the nature of the beast, if it was easy, everybody would have all the colours )Anyway will start with ...

I love the first hen's shape, he tail angle is terrific!

Richard thanks so much for sharing your Mottled sorta girl. She does have realy nice shape. Hope you share some of your bantam Chocolates with us if you still have them.
You can show all the pics of your LF blacks you want to too. Your photos are always wonderful in the your garden. If you have older pics that everyone could see they won't mind a bit. Will be new to us. Thanks julie

Let me just say the feather quality on that bird is awesome too. Love those broad wide feathers.

Hi Guys thanks & Well spotted that she is a harlequin/chimera - very problematic sorta girl.

trying to get dark blue mottle, I have hatched a few blue mottle & although very lovely they are like the Pekin blue mottle so do have a rather delicate shade, as well as shape, love them but they arnt going to win any prizes. I have hatched out a dark mottle cockerel, so maybe, maybe in the autumn....

Bama, will leave the chocs till later as well as the choc mottle. ( its very busy here and im nursing the sole chick to hatch out from Lady Gaga above )

Here some lighter/standard blue mottle growers - just like doves
