The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Very promising Julie, do you have any photos of this years blue females?

I've just looked on Heirlooms website and there's a photo of a Chocolate bantam female i owned about 5 years ago on the main page, this bird or its progeny were never imported and were never sold on in the U.K.

Here's the only female i will be keeping from this year

Yeah i just have large blues, and im in the process of developing a new line of bantams bred down from the large. I also keep the odd black and splash for showing and breeding.

Hi Matt,

I don't think that I say anywhere on my website that the birds in the pictures are my birds unless I'm completely wrong. They are just fine examples of what the English Orps should look like.
Thanks,

Marc

. In my
opinion, none of them are good examples of Orpingtons at all. The
black male has no front, way too much tail, no width and poor balance,
he is a cull bird. The black female is squirel tailed, not enough
front and is white lobed. The chocolate female has too much tail, too
much lobe and is incredibly narrow. The lavender male has a horrendous
tail, no front at all and appears to have a wing fault. The lavender
female also has a horrendous tail and no where near enough depth.

I will pm you Julie

Julie, he looks B-I-G!
I need some Blacks, I'm too impatient to wait until my birds have matured and started laying to hatch my own Blacks by breeding Blues together.
