My photos suck.

I will post a few anyway.

I did get a picture of Fat Albert today. (first photo) A couple years ago I got my start from Julie, and I had something like 10 boys to pick to from. Fat Albert is the one black boy I kept. We just love him. I should weigh him. I am guessing he is around 15 pounds. One of my big black girls was over 10 pounds last time I weighed her. I lost my favorite blue hen, Julie, this past summer. I still miss her, and so hope to hatch another somewhere near her beauty. Someone who posts here (I forgot now) has one that looks so much like she did. Anyway, I am enjoying my blacks. I plan to pen my pretty Splash girl with Fat Albert in the spring. I have about 8 roosters right now (6 months old) and plan to cull down to 2 or 3. I think I will keep just a dozen girls. I also have Lavenders I am working on. My plan is to put the Lavender girls in with Fat Albert too.

Did you traumatize these babies somehow? They HATE it outside!

It was nice out, too!
They ran and jumped back into their brooder!

I left the door open all day and they would not come out.
