I have never had to collect on insured eggs, but when I had eggs that were sent to me get damaged the seller was able to get reimbursed.
One box I sent to NJ was completely smashed, but they accepted it anyway and had like an 80% hatch.

If you get a box that was damaged and insured you need to refuse it at the PO. Not after you take it home and discover something is amiss. If its not insured, don't even waste your breath. Try and work with the seller instead. Most people will replace one time for just shipping cost.

It should not matter if it is hatching eggs or faberge eggs. Fragile is fragile, and if they are packed well they should survive transit intact or be replaced/reimbursed. That's how they treat it at my 3 POs anyway.

I like the thermometer idea. Would be nice to have a little webcam in there too.

Or maybe they will handle the precious cargo a little more carefully...........
nope, I had a problem 2 years ago and got some higher ups on the phone and it was brought to my attention they are the ONLY carrier that accepts live chicks and if they run into too many problems they can change their policies and no longer ship live....then where would we be?

the problem with all the cutbacks is that there are so many subcontracts now they can't monitor them all......
