The inevitable humidity question, day before lockdown, help please!

@aart, how long, on average, would you say a pullet lays a pullet sized egg? I have noticed with these last couple of pullets (across breeds including my new BCMs) that their eggs have stayed on the smaller size since laying, about a month ago maybe? I don't remember my earlier pullets laying smaller eggs for so long.
Feed is the same, Flock Raiser. My older hens are laying huge eggs now!

I've had one pullet go big within a week or two, she lays huge eggs, but always poops at the same time....and others take 5-6 months to get to regularly laying 'large'.

Got a second egg today, 2 grams heavier than Friday’s and much much better color.

With some recent bantam eggs.

I don’t know. :gig
Oh! Pfff!!
I would be surprised...how many pullets do you have.
Butt check?

My CCL pullet finally laid again...5 days after first one.
Got rid of my serial broody today, she went to where she can set to hearts content....
...except I think she broke today after 3 days in crate, ohwell she'll go again.

No egg today. :(
I have 8 BCM pullets. Last year when I had one blue (the only Marans pullet I’ve had), she almost always laid every other day. Rarely 2 days in a row, and rarely skipped more than one day. But I lost her to a hawk just a couple months after she started laying.

The BCM's in my experience are not the most prolific layers. I get, I would guess, 5 eggs a week. It would be interesting to see if your lighter color layer delivers more eggs than the darker ones. I read somewhere, and it may be complete rubbish, that the very dark egg layers lay less often because the pigmenting of the egg takes more energy?? :idunno
