I dont mean to sound rude, but I think the auction winner is about to experience an EPIC FAIL. I do hope they get a good hatch though

My success rate with shipped eggs is currently one chick for every seven and one half eggs

Yeah, it just doesn't make sense to pay that much for eggs when you could buy day old chicks for considerably less.

Wow! That's a lot of money. Don't worry, I won't be charging anywhere near that much to those of you on my list. I have put together an availability list I will be sending to everyone soon. Please pm me if you are interested and haven't already talked with me.

Just curious about others opinions on this. I am looking at the comb on the rooster and thinking it is a definite minus. My DH brought up the thought that maybe the two point comb is desirable and that is why the eggs are going for so much. I have no idea, but I am curious what others think. I mean, there has to be some reason

This is the first public auction any of us know about. People have been waiting months. Blue eggs, autosexing, etc. Very desirable traits. But I agree that is a crazy high price.

There's a juvenile pair going for less than these eggs on RareBreedAuctions, ending in 30 minutes. At least with that you would know you have a pair. With 6 hatching eggs, 50% hatch rate on shipped eggs and 50% roos, that could spell disaster!

Some people get caught up in an auction, too. It has happened to me - not to that extent, though!

Maybe whoever it was didn't want to wait until Greenfire had chicks available in February.

Anybody here that has Cream Legbars - please put me on your waiting list for hatching eggs and/or chicks!

With Greenfire selling chicks and started pairs, they won't be such a novelty after a few months.
