Not bothered by the use of my image - not sure how the other person feels but I do also snag pics for reference of the internet. But I am hesitant to post more pictures or make certain comments regarding breeding these birds due to the negativity it seems to bring. I am trying to improve my stock but really don't need negative generalizations about my entire flock or my words over one or two pics if I try to share my thoughts, as imperfect or as inaccurate as they may turn out to be...still learning here and trying not to sink mine and everyone's buy price if y'all get what I mean. And with my neighbour issues over I'm so excited about this coming year.
The chicks look greatso I will post a pic of them below so everyone can see as I do love chick pics as much as anyone else. The bigger yellow chicks on top are the Jubilees
. The bottom two on the left and right side are males
- one was almost a goner (wet & cold so his down is a mess now) and the 3 darkest chicks are the females
. Definitely need 3 pens.............![]()

Australorp---Just want to say that these birds continue to impress me. The roosters are gentle with the ladies. They eat less then my leghorns (ideal), and lay very well. Today My chinese geese attacked me and one of my lebar roosters jumped on the geese to protect me. He would even get between me and the geese. I think they make the perfect chicken.
Brave guy....I think I remember hearing in Europe they used to use Geese as guards (like we have guard dogs) Probably mostly to alert people. And the goose probably out weighed the cockerel by a bit, too.Yes chickat I have two roosters, one is a wimp. The other is the one that attacked the goose.
