The photos are very poor quality due to the lighting. There are more photos with natural lighting and the eggs look pale blue. The facebook page states they started in 2004, which is 10 years ago.


Personally, I wouldn't buy eggs from someone that has three ratings. Based on the time the "business" has been around, I'd guess they started a new ebay account due to bad reviews and a low feedback rating on a existing account. The eggs are expensive, too. Is that a normal price in the UK? I couldn't find the number of eggs included in the auction.

I went to their facebook page and I've never seen any chicken eggs that color! They look photoshopped.

You guys are right! I thought that it was because the pictures were so 'shady' and dark. -- Something about shady.

I was also surprised by how dirty they looked...for hatching eggs.

I couldn't find in the listing how many eggs it's supposed to be. I will assume a dozen.

£70.00 for the eggs plus £40.00 shipping = £110.00

According to Google,
70 British Pound Sterling equals 109.04 US Dollar
40 British Pound Sterling equals 62.31 US Dollar (that's a LOT for shipping! Are they using a courier???)

That's a grand total of $171.35!

I just looked again and saw this:

It is shipping within the UK, and you have to pay £15 shipping if you pick them up! Weird. Is that how they do things in the UK?

It wouldn't be legal to ship eggs to the USA from there actually. Our original questioner Johnn lives in UK.

Also, it would take a l o n g time to ship from there...and they would have to go through customs, climates etc.

Oh -- I just had a hatch on the 30th. Of the 7 eggs that were set, only 5 hatched (all 7 were developing on day 5 so I know that they were all fertile). The ones that didn't hatch were the oldest of the 7. (I think that with the cold weather and a power outage, I was very lucky to get 5 - the room was drafty and there was actually condensation on the inside of the incubator. ) But if eggs from here were weaked and older, just imagine a trans-Atlantic Journey.
