Thought I would give an update. I've had 5 out of 7 eggs hatch so far. Of the two that didn't hatch, one was a quitter around day 15 or so(guess). The other is on day 22 and could still hatch theoretically. I've hatched out 3 females and 2 males. They are vigorous chicks. Very healthy and quick growing. Fertility is still at 100%.

So I finally got updated pics of my Legbars. When I got them I was told they were 10 weeks old so they should be around 18 weeks old now. Do they look like 18 weeks old??

Yes I will get some up soon

Probably tomorrow. Pullets are darker in general with a chipmunk stripe. Dark stripe from head to back. Cockerels are lighter all over with a very distinguishable patch of white on their heads. I'll try and get someone to assist me so we can get some nice side by side pics to show the differences.

That is true, an old timer told me that back a few years ago sumatras used to cost a bit, not now though. They are not any more expensive than any other chicken.
